Photo Essay introduction...

Autumn is a wonderful time to visit Capileira. The weather is generally mild and pleasant, making it ideal for exploring the steep streets of the village and hiking the scenic trails of the Alpujarra and Sierra Nevada. The changing season brings beautiful colours to the chestnut and oak forests, adding extra charm to the already dramatic mountain landscapes. Autumn also means fewer crowds compared to summer, allowing for a more peaceful experience, while local seasonal produce and festivals add to the cultural richness of a visit.

Here, we take a walk through Bubión to Capileira, and then wander and explore around the village.
