Photo Essay introduction...

Winter is a fantastic time to explore the Cabo de Gata coast in Spain’s Almería province. It’s generally sunny, and the mild climate boasts daytime highs of up to 20°C. I prefer the relaxed, nature-focused, and crowd-free experience over the full-on beach weather. This makes it ideal for walking, photography, or simply unwinding.

So, I packed my bags and travelled to San José in January to explore the coast and enjoy beaches like Genoveses, Media Luna and Mónsul almost to myself. I took the following photos during my stay. If you want to see more photos from Cabo de Gata, see A Week Exploring Cabo de Gata.
