Photo Essay introduction...

Today, we walk through an enchanting area of forest in La Alpujarra, near Pitres. The path through the forest is renowned for its natural beauty and features numerous centuries-old chestnut trees. Our exploration continues along a path above Pitres to Capilerilla, where we discover an old lavadera (historic communal place for washing clothes) and an excellent example of a tinao.

The photographs are a mix of digital and analogue. The latter were captured with a Mamiya C220 twin lens reflex camera on Bergger 400 Pancro film, and developed using Spur Acurol-N. I rated the film at 200 ISO, so, pulled one stop. The film photos are watermarked with the Grainy Photos logo.
